We offer a massive selection of carpets, vinyls and other floorings at discount prices. Established in 1984 we are a two man business with over 56 years of experience in the trade between the partners.

This site hopes to help the uninitiated through the jargon of the flooring world. Also to get you to buy from us, of course.

It contains information to help select the right materials for the areas required, a glossary of frequently used terms and links to other sites that may be helpful. There is a fitting and floor preparation guide and a few anecdotes along the way. Hope you find them helpful as well as funny. If you do, or don't, please let us know.

Oh. By the way. We have had no direct contact from highways dept for over eight years so no intention of moving just yet!!! There are occasional announcements in the press about the ring road.. feel free to check them out. Its all hearsay. We have no information. Just lots of grey hairs. Do you think its designed to get us to move to other premises now, rather than later? (Written 2007)

STOP PRESS !!!!!!

The Highways Department have given us the "Plenty of Warning" they promised us back last century at our last contact. We had a letter on the 10th of December telling us to vacate in a matter of days. After negotiation Dave managed to persuade them to allow us to stay until the 12th of January. Must have been their Christmas Spirit.

There are rolls in stock and also many remnant bargains to be had in the large basement remnant room.!!!!!

Our new address is half way down Babington Lane on the other side, opposite Reliance Electrical......
